The LGMA is a member-funded society dedicated to promoting professional management and leadership excellence in local government and to creating awareness of the local government professional’s role in the community.

Annual General Meetings
The LGMA holds its Annual General Meeting and conference in May or June each year. The conference is held in various locations across the province to reflect the geographically diverse membership.

Board of Directors
The Local Government Management Association of British Columbia is governed by a 13-member Board of Directors.

Board Meeting Minutes
Minutes are posted after they have been adopted at a subsequent Board Meeting.

Committees
Standing, Select or Advisory Committees support the strategic direction and operational requirements of the Association.

Constitution & Bylaws
LGMA's Constitution and Bylaws were adopted at the Annual General Meeting on June 17, 2015 and amended on May 17, 2017.

Policies
LGMA Policies were adopted by the Board of Directors and are in effect as of January 2016.

Strategic Plan
LGMA is dedicated to supporting excellence in local government by providing high quality, practical training and resources; encouraging the development of professional networking and connections; and facilitating the exchange of ideas and best practices among members.
