Notice of Annual General Meeting, June 13, 2024

Notice is hereby given that the 2024 Annual General Meeting of the Local Government Management Association of BC will be held on June 13, 2024, at 8:15 a.m. at the Victoria Conference Centre, 720 Douglas Street, Victoria, BC. The AGM package will be sent directly to members. Be sure your membership and contact info are up to date. 

Seeking Candidates to Stand for LGMA Board Elections

The call for nominations for Directors of the Local Government Management Association of BC is now open.

Are you energetic, enthusiastic, and committed to local government and your colleagues? The LGMA Board Governance Committee invites nominations for five Board positions available for forward thinkers who support the mission and values of the LGMA. Consider serving on the Board of Directors or nominate one of your colleagues and help shape the future direction of the LGMA. Positions open for nominations are:

• Nominations for a one-year term: President, Vice President, Treasurer
• Nominations for a two-year term: Director at Large (two positions)

Key board member attributes to guide the strategic plan of the Association include strategic leadership, forward-thinking, relationship building, IT expertise, and experience working with First Nations.

Serving on the LGMA Board gives you the opportunity to actively shape the future of the organization, as well as benefit from a new learning and professional development opportunity no matter what stage you are in your career.

Submit your nomination form to office@lgma.ca by May 17. Elections for Board of Director positions will be held on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at the LGMA Annual General Meeting, held during our Annual Conference. Any questions should be directed to office@lgma.ca
