LGMA Volunteers Are the Heart of Our Association!

During National Volunteer Week, April 27 to May 3, we are proud to celebrate and gratefully acknowledge the incredible contributions of 268 volunteers in 2024, who collectively gave 3,307 hours to the success of the LGMA. Volunteers contribute in so many ways — through service on the Board of Directors, Chapter Associations, program advisory committees, resource development teams, as guest faculty and speakers, peer-to-peer mentors, and much more.

We look forward to recognizing our 2024 volunteers at the Volunteer Recognition Luncheon during the Annual Conference on Wednesday, June 11, at 12:30 p.m. To further celebrate the impact of our volunteers, we have produced two new videos: "Why Volunteer with the LGMA" and "The Value of Volunteering with the LGMA". Hear directly from volunteers about why they give their time and what they gain from the experience. Thank you to Heather Nelson-Smith, Carolyn Mushata, Chetandeep Kaur, Murray Daly, Douglas Holmes, and Paul Gipps, for contributing your time and perspective!

We love our volunteers! Thank you for your commitment to supporting peer learning in local government!
