As an executive coach, I understand and embrace the opportunity to work with the client as a whole person. For me, coaching involves the co-creation a learning partnership that invites you to slow down, reflect, experiment, and embody new ways of being in the world. Together, we will identify and build on your existing strengths while intentionally developing new practices, mindsets, and behaviours to help you reach your goals. Though I bring specialized expertise in a variety of areas, my coaching focuses always on supporting you to access and articulate the knowledge, wisdom and insights that already reside within you and your team. I am a white, cis-gendered (currently) able-bodied, woman and an uninvited guest, born and raised on the traditional territory of the Beothuk (now known as St. John’s Newfoundland and Labrador) and later the Mohawk and Huron-Wendat (now known as Ottawa, ON). Currently working as an urban planner and executive coach on the unceded Indigenous territories of the Coast Salish Peoples, namely the səlil'wətaʔɬ (Tsleil-Waututh), Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish), and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations (now called Vancouver and the Lower Mainland). This calls me to learn about the impacts of colonialism and to act as an ally for the Indigenous whenever I have the opportunity.

I employ an Intersectional Lens to my coaching. This considers different types of discrimination (race, class, gender, age, sexuality, etc.), and specifically how they overlap and are compounded because multiple forms of discrimination can occur simultaneously. As a coach, I create a brave and caring space to work with you to dismantle barriers you identify to using your power. I support you to achieve your success through action plans you articulate. I am here to serve you. I am on this journey with you and there will be a lot of high-fives. Learn more

My passion is working with organizations who are committed to developing their greatest resource, their people, and with individuals who are striving to become their best selves.
I employ a non-directive approach that provides the individual with an opportunity to discover self-limiting beliefs and underlying assumptions that may be getting in the way of achieving his/her fullest potential. Through active listening and powerful questions, we attempt to discover new insights and explore options and develop strategies that may lead to new ways of being. At all times, the individual determines the focus, the pace and direction of our time together. Learn more

My coaching approach builds strong partnerships with clients, supporting them to achieve their goals and aspirations, and challenging them to move beyond obstacles to exceed their expectations. I coach emerging leaders as well as managers and individuals in executive positions, specializing in coaching in the area of communication, emotional intelligence and management effectiveness, I build rapport with my clients to help them reflect and go deeper to uncover blockages and obstacles to progress, developing strategies with them to address the coaching challenges that we are working on.

I use Myers Briggs Type Indicator assessments in my coaching either at the beginning of the coaching contract to gather further insight or as part of the ongoing process to provide more information and understanding. Where appropriate, I will also undertake and debrief in- person or online 360-degree assessments to obtain more feedback, to support insights and personal awareness and to provide my client with the opportunity to develop further goals in their leadership development. My coaching approach helps the coachee find solutions rather than problems, building on strengths rather than weaknesses and finding positive ways forward rather than examining barriers. By directing energy in a positive way, focusing on strengths and working towards a solution, a coachee will feel motivated and energized rather than de-motivated and demoralized, a feeling you have probably experienced when problems and difficulties are discussed and analysed. My passion stems from design thinking and innovation. Brainstorming in design thinking is a highly collaborative effort that encourages wild ideas. Sometimes clients stick to fixed protocols and might need some encouragement to think more innovatively. Such out-of-the-world ideas unleash the creative flow, while creating an end to rigid and limiting beliefs. Learn more
