Following a call for applications, the LGMA is pleased to announce that Linda Glenday, Chief Administrative Officer for the District of Squamish, was selected by the LGMA Board of Directors as the successful candidate for the 2025/2026 Overseas Exchange Program.

This two-week exchange is one of a range of LGMA initiatives that provides leadership and development opportunities specifically tailored to the local government environment. Exchange partners have the opportunity to share best practices, establish long-lasting relationships, and gain professional, personal, and cultural experience that can be applied at their own local governments and as they move through their careers.

Linda will visit Aotearoa New Zealand in September 2025 to attend the Taituarā Annual Conference (September 3 - 5 in Ōtautahi Christchurch) and to visit local governments in that country. In return, Linda will host her exchange partner for two weeks in 2026 to attend the LGMA Conference and visit local governments in British Columbia.
