2017 Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act Toolkit for Local Government Organizations, Fourth Edition

2017 Records Management Manual for Local Government Organizations, Fifth Edition

The Fifth Edition of the Records Management Manual has been updated to include new information and policy advice, and includes an Excel version of the records classification and retention table for modification and use by your local government. Significant updates include:

IMPORTANT: Local Government Act Revision Notice, January 1, 2016

As a result of a Local Government Act Revision (2015) which came into effect on January 1, 2016, references to the Local Government Act in all of LGMA's manuals, guides and toolkits are no longer correct.  Please review the detailed revision notice and information provided by The Ministry of Community, Sport and Culural Development.


2015 The Guide for Approving Officers, sixth edition, is the fourth major revision since it was first published in 1994.  This edition contains updates on the following:
