About the Toolkit
The Toolkit provides a one-stop location for information about compensation resources for senior, non-elected local government officials in BC, including:
- A link to the UBCM Salary Survey, which contains information on salaries, benefits and perquisites for senior staff;
- links to other public and private sector executive compensation comparators;
- sample contracts, employment agreements and benefit packages provided by LGMA members for members;
- a "primer" on key aspects of total compensation including definitions, trends, innovative practices and resources on why, how and when to undertake a compensation review;
- information on how to communicate with elected officials, staff and community members on the topic of compensation;
- an interactive compensation calculator that enables you to value your personal total compensation; and
- lots of additional compensation-related resources.

- Sharing your anecdotal experiences about compensation practices. Send us an e-mail or use the feedback form in the Toolkit.
- Submitting your sample contracts, employment agreements or benefit packages. We can remove any personal information, as you wish. Then, we'll post the samples to relevant sections of the website.
