Victor Kumar
Victor is currently the Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Rossland. His career in local government began in 1981 when he joined the City of Trail as an Accountant. He remained with the city for the next 14 years and held positions of Director of Finance, Acting City Manager and Acting Public Works Superintendent.
In 1995 Victor became the City Manager for City of Nelson and CEO of Nelson Hydro. In 2003, he took the position of City Manager of the City of Prince Rupert and was appointed as the Chair of Board of Directors and CEO of City West Group of Companies. From 2004 until the end of 2009 Victor was the Chief Administrative Officer for the City of Grand Forks.
Victor received his Certified General Accountant Certification in 1980, a Diploma in Public Sector Management from University of Victoria in 1984, a Senior Certificate in Local Government Administration in 1986 and the LGMA's Professional Award in 1992.
